bought a product from russums online and was told it would arrive in
in two parts. I received the first delivery promptly, however I am still waiting for the second part and has 3 weeks to a month so far, despite paying for next day delivery and numerous emails.

A bit fiddly to set up at the correct angle and use, but really helpful if you've had no training in doing it freehand. Keeping a consistent angle is almost impossible without them. For detailed instructions on sharpening any Japanese knives there is a very good video on the Global website that covers the essentials.

These are a must if you are buying the whetstone. I think it would take years of training to get the angle perfect, which these do. The only small niggle is trying to clean the grey residue out from inside the area which grips to the knife. If you leave even the smallest amount in it will leave rail marks on your blade, so take care when cleaning them. Other than that they do their job perfectly.
